                                                  Summary

The project involves the production and marketing of a new analyzer for the non-invasive determination of lactate in biological fluids. The idea is to measure changes of lactate concentration in sweat, repeatedly, during training sessions or races.

The method could be potentially extended to the determination of lactate in urine, therefore usefully applicable in clinical practice, home care and prevention.

This product is addressed to the market of sport / fitness / wellness (coaches, personal trainers, sports MD, athletes and amateurs of all types of sports). It can be potentially exploited in clinics in the application to urine samples (hypoxia status, patients with neurodegenerative diseases, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cardiovascular, diabetes, metabolic and lung diseases). The optimization of in the urine matrix is in progress.
